Why My First School
My First School, A Cooperative Experience, provides a unique opportunity for parents and caregivers to participate in the education of their children. As a cooperative school, parents play a very active role. They comprise the board of directors, serve on its committees, and act as helping parents in the classroom under the direction of certified teachers. Both children and parents benefit from this interactive experience.

WHAT IS A COOPERATIVE?
A cooperative nursery school allows parents to be active participants in their child’s classes. In our school, each family’s participation is considered a vital part of our existence. You become a natural part of the classroom setting and work closely with all of the children as a helping parent.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE HELPING PARENT?
Each parent, grandparent or primary caregiver serves as an assistant to the teacher in the classroom. Each child considers this time to be very special and each teacher creates special jobs for the child whose parent is helping out each day. Your time commitment as a helping parent is between 5-10 days per year. (About once a month or two.) It depends on the enrollment in the class.
WHAT IS MY FIRST SCHOOL’S PRIMARY GOAL?
We believe that during the preschool years children learn how to interact with one another in a group setting. Our program is one that fosters the social and emotional development of children, as well as stimulates their intellectual & cognitive development. Learning disguised as pure fun in a safe and secure environment.HOW WOULD ATTENDING MY FIRST SCHOOL BENEFIT MY CHILD?
Our focus is on using language to solve problems, taking turns and working together as a preschool community. Research indicates that when parents are actively involved in their child’s early education, children tend to develop a stronger foundation and positive attitude towards school in the future. All of our teachers are loving, nurturing and Master Certified. Our school community is a family of incredible teachers, supportive parents and amazing children all working together to create the best first school experience possible.WHAT PROGRAMS DOES MY FIRST SCHOOL OFFER?
Various morning and afternoon half day programs starting with Mommy and Me classes for our 15 month-2 years, a gradual separation 2 years class and 3’s nursery.

15 - 24 Months - 8 Class Size
Nursery 3's
Builds independence in a safe setting, where the parents are welcomed and involved part of the program.
36 - 48 Months - 14 Class Size
