Jen has been part of My First School since 2010, when her oldest daughter participated in our Two Time! Program.  She was a parent first and foremost, enrolling all three of her children in the school over the past 9 years, and also serving as Treasurer and President in the three years she spent on our Executive Board.  Jen officially joined our staff in 2017 and begins her third year as Educational Director.

Jen earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of San Diego, and Master’s degree in the Teaching of English from Teacher’s College Columbia University. She began teaching in the NYC Department of Education in 2003. Prior to joining us at My First School, Jen also worked for CUNY’s Collaborative Programs, and taught self-esteem workshops to girls & women with the Hance Family Foundation’s Beautiful Me program.
